Decentralized Prediction Markets

Prediction markets (PMs) have been posited as a key application of blockchain technology and have driven much of the latter's early development. The worst casino-like strategies at the cost of the user can be disabled, but there are more advantages:

• Permissionless & Pseudonymous (all insider information free to appear early)
• Promised payouts (no banning or bankruptcy)
• Censorship resistance (important for whistle-blowing at the highest level)
• Clear rules (no special roles and manipulation)
